We welcome you with warm smiles to our practice!”
Leading the team at Stellenbosch Dental Studio are our two experienced and accomplished dentists, Dr Henco Neethling and Dr Corrie Muller. They are highly skilled in all areas of general, cosmetic and restorative dentistry, and committed to providing you with the highest standard of personalised care and quality work in a warm and inviting environment.
Dr. Henco Neethling
Dr Neethling graduated with his Bachelors of Science Degree in Dentistry from the University of Stellenbosch in 1990. Although he started his studies in Medicine he changed over to Dentistry, because it offered an opportunity to be more expressive with his hands. He began his career in the South African National Defense Force working at the South African Coloured Corps in Eersterivier, Oudshoorn Infantry School and also at 2 Military Hospital in Wynberg. From there he branched out in to private practice, working as a dentist in the National Health Service in United Kingdom for nearly eleven years, in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex. After returning to South Africa in 2003, he started working at Stellenbosch Dental Studio. His history with the practice dates back to receiving treatment in this practice as a first year student in 1983!
“It is really fulfilling and rewarding to repair a tooth to its original state, before tooth decay causes damage.”
Technology seems to change daily, and Dr Neethling endeavours to stay in touch with the latest developments through constantly attending dental courses and seminars. Dr. Neethling is a member of various dental associations, including:
Health Professional Council
South African Dental Association
Dental Protection Society
In the Practice
Dr Neethling focuses on providing quality dental treatment to all his patients. Although he is a private dentist, Dr Neethling strives to accommodate his less affluent patients as well, and believes that nobody should be excluded from receiving treatment of excellence, merely because they cannot afford it. He is known to have an honest and caring approach to all his patients, offering quality dental treatments and spending quality time on each patient on merit.
“Teeth are only a small part of us humans, however they plays a huge role in how we feel, our self-confidence and all over well-being. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to contribute to the well-being of the complete person by giving him or her a better smile.” - Dr Neethling
Dr Neethling’s field of interest is general dentistry, simply because it offers scope to do all the different treatments in the dental spectrum. Of particular interests are:
Crowns and bridges
Oral surgery (removal of wisdom teeth)
Outside the Practice
Dr Neethling grew up in Johannesburg and matriculated from Helpmekaar Boys High in 1982. Since returning from overseas, the Neethling family has lived in Somerset West. Dr. Neethling is married to a medical doctor, Lida, for 27 years, and has two sons. His eldest son Henk is studying B.Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch, and his younger son Deon is a matriculant at Paul Roos Gymnasium. Dr Neethling enjoys working with his hands and being creative and has a keen interest in DIY projects and gardening, and is also very fond of travelling and exploring new places.
Dr. Neethling lives by his motto: “Do what you need to do – today!”
“My work motto is to provide the same dental care that I would find acceptable in my own mouth. Every procedure should make me proud.” - Dr. Neethling
Dr. Corrie Muller
